The sunloverz, two german dj/producers, made a lot of good house-music in the past and today they release another splendid vocal-house track. Togheter with canadian singer/actress Rosette they made a thrilling production of beats and synths.
The sunloverz and Niels Van Gogh are no strangers, they remix eachother tracks very often and it's not different this time: Niels Van Gogh boosted the track with some dirty synths. Definitely influenced by artists like 'Afrojack', if you ask me.
I bet you all have heard or read about the monday nights in Pacha Ibiza during the summer... With "the masquerade hotel" it is the second year that Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axwell host their own party-concept on monday in Ibiza. "Masquerade Hotel" brings back the golden times of the '60s and it was this concept that inspired Kris Menace for his "Masquerade EP" on Size Records. Steve Angello, owner of Size Records, made an edit to promote this EP.
Tocadisco dig up an earlier released track of Dr. Kucho to remix it at own taste. I like this remix more, but no idea why because the original is a classy tune too... Anyway, this remix has some nice drops !
The original song is already a big hit on every commercial radio in Belgium. The remixes released today will be big hits on every dancefloor, that's sure. Chaosz dirty tune is really amazing ! Also Moonflower is able to give the song an extra dancefloor-impulse. I didn't like Bo Cendar tracks in the past, but this remix is really good. The remix of Robert Abigail himself is a hot mix between brasil grooves and dirty basslines. Too bad he used a terrible bomb-alarm-sound, what a shame!
"Leave the world behind" became an anthem, "One" was a #1-hit after one night, what's next ? "Miami 2 Ibiza", that's next ! These guys -Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso- have a huge pressure on them, they have to make another progressive hitmonster while the world is watching them. In my opion they've done it again!
This is: their 'instrumental mix' did it again. I'm sure you already heard the original mix with Tinie Tempah's vocals. (Progressive) house and SHM lovers all over the world are divided in two camps: those who like it, and those who don't. I think it's not coincidental that they first release their 'instrumental mix' but a 'trick' to change the public opinion of all haters. Personnaly, I like both versions. It's true that the original mix is quite commercial and that the instrumental mix is good enough without vocals, but who am I ....

I like it very much when (progressive) house is mixed with and influenced by typical sounds of other cultures. For example "Bollywood Adventures" from Jason Rivas, released today! This track is a strong combination of steady housebeats, typical sounds of India and Indian vocals. A strange combination, but it fits perfectly !!

Tomorrowland 2010.
Me and my brother planned to go on friday, to put up our tent, and 2 friends would catch up with us on Saturday morning. So after a short trainride and the free shuttle bus we arrived at the campingsite Entrance 1. Things looked really nice and already after 20 minutes we had switched our tickets for the official entrancebracelets. Putting up a 4-person-tent with 50 people around you wanting to conquer their own private spot isn't easy. After a 15 minute long struggle to put up something that didn't look like a tent at all we, and unfortunaltely some people of the organisation too, noticed that we crossed 'the white line'. That was absolutely not allowed so we had to pack our stuff together again and moved to some other area on the camping. Luckely for us we found a place where some space was left so we could put up our tent nice and properly. Finally, 1hr30 after our arrival at the camping, we could enjoy our first cold beer!
The camping was really huge this year: space for 25.000 people, 3 BBQzones, a big EHBO-tent, food- and drinkcorners and a place to party ! That's right, the festival started on friday on the campingsite ! From 1Pm to 1 Am Dj's played the niciest techno- and housetunes, all hoisted by 'Push It'.
One of the first things we did on Saturday was checking out the free jacuzzis of Eristoff and P-Magazine. The only thing you needed to enter was an eristoff 'join the nightwolves'-badges which we got after only 30 minutes of waiting. First I took a plonge in the ice-water to obtain a free eristoff black shot and then we enjoyed the jacuzzi with view on mainstage !! Afrojack played one dirty tune after another, while we were dancing as crazy in our private jacuzzi and enjoying the jealous looks of everybody who saw us !
Later that day we enjoyed the tunes of the Bingo Players in the versuz-area and at 8Pm it was Swedish House Mafia on mainstage ! They really rocked the place and ID&T (the organisation) gave us some firework on their amazing track "One", which is the most heared track (by us) on Tomorrowland 2010, 13 times on 2 days ! After SHM we went to see Scooter on the 'I love the 90's' stage and we finished outside the versuz-tent with Martin Solveig, just as hundreds of other people who couldn't get in anymore.
Sunday we danced on the tunes of Neon, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and more untill the moment we were all waiting for: David Guetta on mainstage ! More then 30.000 people gathered to see him, and from the first 'till the last tunes: it was crazy as hell !! If you don't believe me, maybe you will believe David Guetta: "Wow, this is crazy, seriously!" and "Thank you for being here, this is the craziest Tomorrowland ever!" and also "This is the craziest party on the whole planet right now!" .... Robert Abigail became famous when Bacardi used his 'Mojito Song' for their commercial. The song became a hit and gained gold in Europe. On the 1th april of this year the Bassjackers and Bizzey released their newest hit "Stronger". Two weeks later, some splendid remixes of Carl Tricks, Oliver Twitz and the Bassjackers themselves followed. Today it's time to add some more remixes ! Vince Moogin, Ralvero and Flexican are the chosen-ones to remix this summerhouse track of the Bassjackers.

Ralvero loops the 'stronger'-vocal and adds some dirty bassline and high synths builds. The Flexican remix doesn't know to satisfy me and is, in my opinion, poor. Although the Vince Moogin remix is a bit better than the Flexican remix, it can't compete with the Bassjackers and Carl Tricks remix.

It's the third time this dutch artist crosses this blog... but what can I do about it? I just love his music ! This time he brings us a pumping beat, named "Back up". A housetrack can do many things with someone: it can make you dance, it can make you smile, or it can make you cry... whatever you will do on this one, it won't leave you untouched !

A few months ago I discovered 'House Concepts', the alias for a first class producer from Salt Lake City. I listened to his EP 'a new life begins' and somehow his music knew to touch me... His productions are a combination of progressive house with a lot of electronic influences. Today he released a fantastic new EP 'brainstorm', which contains 3 tracks.
A collaboration between DJmag's #1 house DJ 2009* and one of the biggest dutch producers and definitely two of my most favourite ones... David Guetta and Afrojack brings us a progressive house track which will be a big summer anthem, no doubt !! And I'm sure it won't take long before tons of remixes will be released. "Zombie" is a protest song by the Irish band 'The Cranberries' from the 1994 album 'No Need to Argue'. The song, which laments the troubles in Northern Ireland, was written by Dolores O'Riordan, singer of the band (~wikipedia). Three years later Andrew Spencer & the vamprockerz made it into an hardstyle remix. Today Mental Madness Records releases some electro-house remixes of this 1994 & 1997 classic and brings it back to the dancefloor !

This young dj duo, a collaboration between two nephews (Tomstarr en Ruido Kardana), started in 2008 producing electro-house. Since then they have already made some fantastic tracks (f.e. Rock This, Make Some Noise) and remixes for D-Guan & Rockdown Superstars. Today they add another fantastic and 100% dutch house track: "Going to London".
I can't find anything about this dj "Jean de la foret".. The only two things I know is that he's from the Netherlands and has made a badass dirty house track!

Gregor Salto loves to incorporate organic influences in the digital world of electronic music. Influences like soul, samba, jazz or salsa. This tracks is just another example of this wonderful combination of genres and the talents of this producer. In october 2009 Gregor Salto released "Messe Messe" (ft. Mokoomba, winner of the Music Crossroads InterRegional Festival in Zimbabwe). This came only in a radio mix and a club mix... Pete Tong & Paul Rogers release their "What?" EP on toolroom records today. Three splendid tech house tracks "Get It", "What?" and "Ze Demo". My favourite is "what": a magical melodie combined with that strong beat and well mixed percussion.
Gregori Klosman, know of "Fuckin Down", released another banger on Pool E Music today with Danny Wild called "Kixxx". It's already been played on the Miami WMC by dj's like Bob Sinclar and gained big support by Tristan Garner.

Like usewell there is a radio edit and an extended version. But really amazing is this dirty housemix from the Bassjackers themselves, a must-buy!
Key-J, member of |MFB|, came up with an idea to switch up the Capeverdean Zouk style, mixing it up with R&B/Urban influenced by Timbaland’s sampling- and musicstyle. Later they developed from arranging Capeverdian Zouk to arranging multiple genres like R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, Dancehall and House... This release has most of these influences. For me it's an happy song that gives me both the summer beach-feeling as the house clubbing feeling. Listen to this song and your feet can't stop moving!

AN21 teamed up with Max Vangeli to make this "big room progressive monster", as Sebastian Ingrosso likes to call it. It's very melodious and has some great breaks and buildups. No wonder it gained heavy support from top-dj's like Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Pete Tong! The only thing I don't like about it are the volume-drops now and then.
