Do you remember the track "the moment" of Tim Mason ? It was an instant hit and heavily promoted by the labelboss himself: Steve Angello. The "edit", made by this SHM-member, is probably the most played version of "the moment" and you definitely have heard it!
Tim Mason closes 2011 in style with another floorbanger: Anima. It's a typical "Size" track: uplifting and very melodious. Hands in the air !
Is it true ? Does the Swedish House Mafia has a new song ? I don't know. But I do know that they've played a unknown killer-track in Madison Square Garden, NY! There hasn't been communicated yet about a name, I'm not even sure they acknowledge it's one of them...
But does that really matters ? Well, actually, it does. Since their creation of "One" a lot of houselovers all over the world are urged to hear new SHM-material every time again. At least I do.
A while ago Axwell made a club remix of Michael Calfan's "Resurrection". Lately he's been playing a mash-up of "resurrection" with an acapella of an older track of him: Together. I personally love those vocals very, very much so I'm happy I can offer you a quality 320kbps download of this amazing vocal!
It's all legal because Axwell gave it away himself on his facebookpage. Download it right away here: Acapella "Together" Axwell
It has been since "Hello" of Martin Solveig I've posted something. Mainly because I had a shortage of time and I couldn't spend to much time for this blog anymore. Since "Hello" a lot of great and mind-blowing tracks have been released. Some of my favourites:
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike - Generation X
Swedish House Mafia & Party Knife - Antidote (Instrumental)
Chuckie- What happens in Vegas
Coldplay - Paradise (Swedish house mafia remix)
Pitbull & Afrojack - Give me everything
And many more....
This post is a sort of kick-off for a new period of blogposts! I probably won't be posting as much as I used to be, but from time to time I will add freshly released tracks that I like.
I also would like to inform you about a new project I've been working on lately. It's a free on-demand musicplayer that features millions of tracks. Clicking on a track gives links to biographies and discographies of the artist, and so on. I hope you will find it worth a visit and... find it worth to use as your new website to listen to music. The homepage features the most-watched tracks on youtube, but on the right you can search for whatever track you want to! Or if you prefer free internet radio, there are plenty of them. For all of this go to: AllMyMusic.net
After 'Boys and Girls' Martin Solveig collaborates again with Dragonette to make a winter-warming poppy housetrack. Beatport.com expresses 'Hello' like this: "a driving and pop soaked number featuring the sassy vocal talents of Dragonette's Martina Sorbara and a pumping, groovy hook" So... what can I say more ?
This number is remixed by some of the world-leading dance artists of the moment: Sidney Samson, Dada Life and Michael Woods ! Being able to let these DJs remix your track means you are big business and a first class producer yourself. Hooray for Martin !
Artist: Martin Solveig ft. Dragonette (martinsolveig.com) Song: Hello Remixers: Martin Solveig, Dada Life, Sidney Samson, Dada Life Label: Mixture (mixturestereo.com)
The sunloverz, two german dj/producers, made a lot of good house-music in the past and today they release another splendid vocal-house track. Togheter with canadian singer/actress Rosette they made a thrilling production of beats and synths.
The sunloverz and Niels Van Gogh are no strangers, they remix eachother tracks very often and it's not different this time: Niels Van Gogh boosted the track with some dirty synths. Definitely influenced by artists like 'Afrojack', if you ask me.
I bet you all have heard or read about the monday nights in Pacha Ibiza during the summer... With "the masquerade hotel" it is the second year that Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axwell host their own party-concept on monday in Ibiza. "Masquerade Hotel" brings back the golden times of the '60s and it was this concept that inspired Kris Menace for his "Masquerade EP" on Size Records. Steve Angello, owner of Size Records, made an edit to promote this EP.
Tocadisco dig up an earlier released track of Dr. Kucho to remix it at own taste. I like this remix more, but no idea why because the original is a classy tune too... Anyway, this remix has some nice drops !
The original song is already a big hit on every commercial radio in Belgium. The remixes released today will be big hits on every dancefloor, that's sure. Chaosz dirty tune is really amazing ! Also Moonflower is able to give the song an extra dancefloor-impulse. I didn't like Bo Cendar tracks in the past, but this remix is really good. The remix of Robert Abigail himself is a hot mix between brasil grooves and dirty basslines. Too bad he used a terrible bomb-alarm-sound, what a shame!
"Leave the world behind" became an anthem, "One" was a #1-hit after one night, what's next ? "Miami 2 Ibiza", that's next ! These guys -Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso- have a huge pressure on them, they have to make another progressive hitmonster while the world is watching them. In my opion they've done it again!
This is: their 'instrumental mix' did it again. I'm sure you already heard the original mix with Tinie Tempah's vocals. (Progressive) house and SHM lovers all over the world are divided in two camps: those who like it, and those who don't. I think it's not coincidental that they first release their 'instrumental mix' but a 'trick' to change the public opinion of all haters. Personnaly, I like both versions. It's true that the original mix is quite commercial and that the instrumental mix is good enough without vocals, but who am I ....
Artist: Swedish House Mafia (swedishhousemafia.com) Song: Miami 2 Ibiza Label: Virgin UK
I like it very much when (progressive) house is mixed with and influenced by typical sounds of other cultures. For example "Bollywood Adventures" from Jason Rivas, released today! This track is a strong combination of steady housebeats, typical sounds of India and Indian vocals. A strange combination, but it fits perfectly !!
After some time of absence I am back to bring you the best of what house has to offer. And could I do better then to start with a fantastic track, released today on deadmau5's record label ?
Michael Woods' "Dynamic" is an incredible piece of music. The uplifting synths combined with drums and bass make this track an absolutely top progressive house hit ! He proves again that good music doesn't need commercial vocals.
Included in this release is a remix of the rising talent Dj Moguai.
This Belgian Dj/producer releases his first full album, the result of two years of producing. It's a magnificant collection of own tracks and amazing remixes of tracks by Dj Rebel, Sir-G, Dj F.R.A.N.K., Robert Abigail and X-Tof!
This album includes his latest single "Ready for the night", and other smahhits as "Looking at me (J'aime regarder les filles)", "Get Down" and "On the Dancefloor". His remix of "U got 2 know" (Dj Rebel) is the best remix on this album and my favourite track is the english/french hit "Looking at me". If you don't have his tracks already, a must-buy!
Having spent the last year hidden in Steve Angello's CD wallet of battle weapons, his floorbanger is finally available for everybody. A pure combination of simple minimal beats with a great bassline and some killer synths. This is how I like house !

Tomorrowland 2010.
Me and my brother planned to go on friday, to put up our tent, and 2 friends would catch up with us on Saturday morning. So after a short trainride and the free shuttle bus we arrived at the campingsite Entrance 1. Things looked really nice and already after 20 minutes we had switched our tickets for the official entrancebracelets. Putting up a 4-person-tent with 50 people around you wanting to conquer their own private spot isn't easy. After a 15 minute long struggle to put up something that didn't look like a tent at all we, and unfortunaltely some people of the organisation too, noticed that we crossed 'the white line'. That was absolutely not allowed so we had to pack our stuff together again and moved to some other area on the camping. Luckely for us we found a place where some space was left so we could put up our tent nice and properly. Finally, 1hr30 after our arrival at the camping, we could enjoy our first cold beer!
The camping was really huge this year: space for 25.000 people, 3 BBQzones, a big EHBO-tent, food- and drinkcorners and a place to party ! That's right, the festival started on friday on the campingsite ! From 1Pm to 1 Am Dj's played the niciest techno- and housetunes, all hoisted by 'Push It'.
One of the first things we did on Saturday was checking out the free jacuzzis of Eristoff and P-Magazine. The only thing you needed to enter was an eristoff 'join the nightwolves'-badges which we got after only 30 minutes of waiting. First I took a plonge in the ice-water to obtain a free eristoff black shot and then we enjoyed the jacuzzi with view on mainstage !! Afrojack played one dirty tune after another, while we were dancing as crazy in our private jacuzzi and enjoying the jealous looks of everybody who saw us !
Later that day we enjoyed the tunes of the Bingo Players in the versuz-area and at 8Pm it was Swedish House Mafia on mainstage ! They really rocked the place and ID&T (the organisation) gave us some firework on their amazing track "One", which is the most heared track (by us) on Tomorrowland 2010, 13 times on 2 days ! After SHM we went to see Scooter on the 'I love the 90's' stage and we finished outside the versuz-tent with Martin Solveig, just as hundreds of other people who couldn't get in anymore.
Sunday we danced on the tunes of Neon, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and more untill the moment we were all waiting for: David Guetta on mainstage ! More then 30.000 people gathered to see him, and from the first 'till the last tunes: it was crazy as hell !! If you don't believe me, maybe you will believe David Guetta: "Wow, this is crazy, seriously!" and "Thank you for being here, this is the craziest Tomorrowland ever!" and also "This is the craziest party on the whole planet right now!" .... Check out the video:
After david guetta we enjoyed our last dj-set on tomorrowland 2010: the dutch dirty-house master Chuckie !
After Chuckie it is Steve Angello that puts this dutch dj-duo in the spotlights by releasing their latest EP on Size Records (record label of Steve Angello).
I liked their music in the past and it's getting better and better ! This new EP features two tracks: 'Snitch' and 'Traffic Jam'. Both tracks are absolutely a-ma-zing! "‘Snitch’ is an out and out drum driven track, whilst ‘Traffic Jam’ is a peak time stormer that will no doubt help those already screaming Ibizan dance floors push through to 7am without giving it a thought!", Steve Angello.

The first post on this blog was about Tomorrowland, and now it is time to have another post about this Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is a belgian summerfestival organised bij ID&T, with 12 podia and 150 international top-DJs! The line-up of this year is, again, really amazing: Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, Bingo Players, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and many more!
Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Dada Life, together with Tara McDonald, made the official anthem for Tomorrowland 2010 ! It's really a mind-blowing electro-housetrack!
Artists: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Dada Life ft. Tara McDonald

Song: Tomorrow (Give In To The Night)
Remixers: Sarah Main and John Voltaire, Dabruck & Klein
Label: Smash the house
Axwell, part of the popular Swedish House Mafia, releases today his "Nothing but love" track on his own recordlabel. A banging housebeat with "nothing but love" lyrics, or what else did you expect ?
As we know Axwell is a great producer and this track is another proof of that. I extremely like the electronic vocals, which reminds me at Daft Punk.
Artist: Axwell (axwell.co.uk) Song: nothing but love Versions: Classic mix, Remode Label: Axtone Records (axtone.com)
For those who don't know Sensation White: it's a big rave (organised by ID&T, all over the world) where it is obligated to wear all white clothes. More then 10.000 people dressed in white, it's really something special ! On this parties top-dj's like Martin Solveig, Sebastian Ingrosso, Erick E and many more play music all night long!
This free album is released by ID&T to "Celebrate life with House" for Sensation Amsterdam 2010 and features 12 nice house tracks and 1 continuous mix... all for free !
Robert Abigail became famous when Bacardi used his 'Mojito Song' for their commercial. The song became a hit and gained gold in Europe. One year later he basically re-used the same tune for his summerhit 'Merengue'. Now it's time for something new of this Dutch producer: together with Dj Rebel and M.O. he releases 'Meneando' today on BIP records, a happy summertrack.
