Thanks to 'Southern Fried records' we can enjoy Armand Van Helden's classic 'my my my' again: an album with 6 remixes of this amazing song. Some of them are electro-house while others are more progressive with piano.
Artist: Armand van Helden (armandvanhelden.com)
Song: my my my
Remixers: Marcus Knight, Stonebridge, Ashley Beedle, Deekline & Wizard, Cagedbaby, We Deliver
Label: Southern Fried Records (southernfriedrecords.com)
"A groovy and pumping summerbeat" is how I can describe 'Romane' from Bart B More. This dutch Dj/producer showed in the past he's able to win a public and to be great producer. F.e. the remix of Chocolate Puma’s “ Touch Me”(Beatport nr. 1!) and Sandy Rivera’s “Freak”(Pete Tong Essential New Tune). But also own productions like 'So it goes' gained massive support. This new track is antoher must-buy of this great Dj!
Para One made a really cool remix with a great bassline and some sweet electronic effects. Also Rubix did something great with this track. He putted some trumpet in it which gives me an even more summerfeeling. French fries & Bambounou's remix isn't really special compared to the other remixes and it doesn't impress me.
When the Bassjackers do something, it rocks. Just as their new album 'Rocker'. An album with their latest track 'Rocker', 4 remixes and a new track 'Gnocco'.
Marlon Fohr and Ralph Van Hilst, the two members of the bassjackers, had not foreseen what was coming when they started their collaboration. From their first song ('Beat Cut') on they've gained massive support from famous dj's from all over the world. From Roger Sanchez to Chuckie, from Laidback Luke to Mark Knight, everybody has some Bassjackers secret weapons in their repertoire, ready to blow up the dance floor. And again, this track 'Rocker' is a clubbanger that you definetely will hear on lots of parties all over the world!
Artist: Bassjackers (bassjackers.com)
Song: Rocker / Gnocco
Remixers: Dj Rockid, Apster, Dj Danjah & Ralph May
Album: Rocker
Label: Foktop! (foktop.hyves.nl (music label of Dj Rockid) )
Dj Danjah & Ralph Mays's remix is a bit more fidget with somewhat boring breaks. Both Dj Rockid's and Apster's remixes are good and can compete with the original, which is the most rocking of them all. 'Gnocco' is nothing compared to 'Rocker' but still a decent housetrack.
When I first heard the instrumental mix it gave me a very happy feeling. Eric Santana created a track with both electro and latin vibes which makes it very attractive to listen at.
Artist: Eric Santana ft. Mc ambush (ericsantana.com)
Song: Get Your Swag On
Remixes: instrumental & extended vocal mix
Label: Made in NL (spinnin-records.com)
For me the vocals aren't really necessary. In fact I enjoy more the instrumental mix because in the extended vocal version the attention goes more to the lyrics and the vibe of this song get lost.
The album "It's me bitches 2010 remixes" contains 4 remixes of Nicky Romero's dutch house bomb 'it's me bitches'.
Artist: Nicky Romero (nickyromero.nl)
Song: it's me bitches
Remixes: Less vox dub remix, Danny G remix, Firebeatz remix, Dani L Mebius remix
Label: Sneakerz Music (sneakerzmuzik.nl)
The Danny G and Dani L Mebuis remixes miss the power of the original. They aren't bad but they aren't really good either. The less vox dub remix is better, however it isn't really different from the original. In my opinion the Firebeatz remix is the best and equals the original. Yes, in this case 'original' means 'best'.
Sidney Samson remixed the famous song 'shut up and let me go' (original from the ting tings) in may 2009. He made from this punk/rock (or whatever) song a nice and good house track. Now it's the dirty dutch master Chuckie himself who remixed it and give it that extra partytouch as we are used from him. However it's a good remix I think Chuckie can do better and this is definitely not one of his best remixed he ever made. Listen for yourself:
Since 2007 Quintino's tracks are played a lot in worldwide clubs by famous dj's like Benny Rodrigues, Josh Wink, Erick E, Laidback Luke and more. He already proved to be a energetic dj and a succesful producer. Today he brings us, together with other dutch dj's, a pumpin dirty house track which again proves he is an absolute topper in the dutch housescene.

Song: You know what
Remixers: Alvaro, JoeySuki & Apster, Leroy Styles
Label: Spinnin records (spinnin-records.com)
Leroy Styles doesn't focus on the high synths but creates more a mysterious vibe. I like Alvaro's remix just a little more than the original and Joeysuki & Apster's remix, which are however still good house tracks.
Joeysuki's 'BAMM' is finally released today on dance-tunes.com and will be released on all music portals in two weeks. This banger is remixed by Bassjackers and already played for hundredthousands of people! No doubt you will definitely hear this song on your next house party.
Artist: JoeySuki (joeysuki.com)
Song: Bamm
Remixers: Bassjackers, Cazler
Album: Bamm
Label: Made in NL (spinnin-records.com)
"Zulu" is a '94 classic housetrack from Circle Children -named after the dance craze where one club kid would bust some solo moves in the middle of a ring of other club kids cheering on-. It is now, many years later, remixed again by the portugese Mastiksoul. He kept the best of the original and updated it with clipped afro-percussion.
Artist: Circle Children (aka Armand van Helden) Song: Zulu Remixers: Mastiksoul, change (original '94 mix) Label: Strictly Rhythm (strictly.com & defected.com)
This song is a part of the 'Strictly Rhythm est. 1998' collection which brings us new remixes of Strictly original songs of the past 20 years.
A hip house banger from Robbie Rivera and Fast Eddie, both well-known and respected producers. Robbie Rivera released his first track in '96 (El Sorrullo) and hasn't been out of the clubscene since than. He made remixes for Tocadisco, Bob Sinclar, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Benny Benassi, Felix da housecat and many more... Fast Eddie earned his fame in the late eigthies and mid ninenties with tracks like "Acid Thunder" and "Hip House".
Artists: Robbie Rivera & Fast Eddie
Song: let me sip my drink
Remixers: Robbie Rivera (juicy bigroom dub), Chuckie, Mastiksoul (and many more in an upcoming remix-album)
Label: Black Hole recordings (blackholerecordings.com)
Be sure to check out Chuckies remix, it's a real dirty tune. Mastiksouls remix is a bit more special: fast loops in the vocals and many special sounds. Robbie Reveras juicy bigroom dub is like it should be: dub.
